Esperanza Plantation was formed in the summer of 2002, fittingly, at a wedding reception during a discussion over music and possibilities. What began as talk of creating an artistic outlet for a group of friends quickly blossomed into a definitive plan to unite four bands to promote a cause. It was determined that as a collective of like-minded individuals, dreams and ambitions could become a reality. And so a family was born.
Taking its title from an antebellum Mississippi Delta farm of the same name, the members of Esperanza Plantation decided on the moniker based on the definitions and literal interpretation of each individual word. Billing itself as a "new settlement for hope", the significance rang true to all the individuals involved. The logo concept was borrowed as well, taking the bowed "E" brand, which exemplifies hope, always pushing upward.
